Privacy notice
This notice explains how RBrooks Solutions handles personal information under the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA).
What we collect
When you use the request form, we collect:
- your name, company, role, email address and WhatsApp number;
- the details of your project;
- technical data needed to prevent spam, such as your IP address and an anti-spam check.
If you become a client, we also keep contract, invoicing and payment records.
Why we use it
We use your information to:
- reply to your request and prepare plans, quotes, agreements and invoices;
- deliver and support the work we agree on;
- keep the records the law requires.
We don't sell your information, and we don't use it for unrelated marketing.
Where it is stored
Your information is stored securely with our service providers:
- Amazon Web Services, for hosting and data storage, in the United States (us-east-1);
- our email delivery provider;
- our project tracking tool.
These providers process it only on our behalf. Some of them store data outside South Africa. When that happens, we only use providers that give your information a level of protection comparable to POPIA, as section 72 of the Act requires.
How long we keep it
- Requests that don't go ahead: kept for up to 24 months.
- Client records: kept for as long as tax and company law require.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your personal information, or object to how we process it. Contact us at support@rbrooks.co.za.
You can also lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa.
